Lecture: Public Transformation: A Documentation of Art in Rural America
Theater artist Ashley Hanson will present a snapshot of the lives, work, stories, themes, artifacts and questions she discovered while visiting 24 rural communities with populations of less than 10,000 across the country and discuss the role of art in small-town life and the challenges of making art in rural America.

Workshop: Human Research Basics Series
"Navigating Your Research with Human Subjects: The IRB Submission Process." In this session, you will learn tips on developing and submitting protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). An IRB staff member will walk through key sections of the non-exempt IRB application and explain what the IRB looks for during the review process. Workshop: Groups and Collaborative Work in Canvas
Instructors can create groups for students to collaborate on group Assignments and Discussions, use Web-conferencing, and Collaborations for online projects. Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop
This Quality Matters (QM) flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and its use in reviewing the design of online and blended courses is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and instructors. It is particularly helpful to those new to QM or those considering the adoption of a quality assurance process for online and blended learning.

Egg Hunt
Co-hosted by the Ames Jaycees, festivities will include an egg hunt for all children 6th grade and younger. The egg hunt will run continuously from 9:00 - 11:00. Children will have the opportunity to search for colorful eggs to trade in for a goody bag. Goody bags will be provided.
