Lecture: Antimicrobial Resistance
"Rapid Diagnostics for Infectious Diseases: A Solution to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance," Robin Patel, Mayo Clinic. Patel is a consultant and chair of the Division of Clinical Microbiology, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic, with a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine. She's also co-director of the Clinical Bacteriology Laboratory and director of the Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory.

Cyclones everywhere are invited to celebrate at the ISU Alumni Center before every home football game. ISU Symphonic Band and ISU Concert Band
The Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Concert Band performs a variety of rich literature and approximately 100 students take part in this group.

Celebrating the Reformation
The program will feature speakers Pati Kachel, The Parable Fund in Minnesota ("Katie Luther: Here I Stand"); Rev. Don Rothweiler, retired Lutheran pastor, Ankeny ("Martin Luther: The Quest for a Gracious God"); and Dr. Paul Maier, professor emeritus of ancient history and former campus pastor, Western Michigan University ("History and Impact of the Reformation"). Vocalists Simon Estes and the Ames Children's Choir will perform.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
