Student Organization Resource Fair
The Student Activities Center will be hosting the first annual Student Organization Resource Fair this fall. This event will provide Ames businesses and ISU departments with an opportunity to connect with student organization officers and promote services and resources open to student organizations.

Artist and printmaker Andrew Kozlowski will discuss how our histories are shaped by the objects we possess and the ephemerality of our human-made, constructed world.

Irena Ravitskaya, piano - Guest Pianist Recital
Irena's repertoire encompasses works from Baroque to Modern. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Moldova State Philharmonic, Moldova National Orchestra, Boise State Symphony Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Indiana University Symphony Orchestra, South Kansas Symphony Orchestra, Hays Symphony Orchestra, Salina Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra, and Powder River Symphony Orchestra.

Closing Reception: Under (Printed) Construction Exhibition
Closing reception for exhibition of printmaker Andrew Kozlowski's recent work. The show includes an installation of screen- and relief-printed images wheat-pasted to the gallery walls. Following the breakfast reception, Kozlowski, an assistant professor of printmaking at North Florida University, will lead a workshop during which the wheat-pasted images will be removed and recycled into new paper, which can then be used to make relief prints.
Presidential Installation and celebration
Wendy Wintersteen will be installed as Iowa State's 16th president. A public reception follows.
Telling Your Story
Who are you? I bet you have a story to tell. Will you tell it? Of all the things that you can do to make the world a better place, few things are more valuable and beneficial than telling your story. Come to hear Mani Mina, associate professor in Industrial Design, share his story, be inspired to tell your own, and share it with the world.
Friday Research Seminar: Toward Design Strategies for Fall Prevention
Daejin Kim, assistant professor of interior design, will speak about the role of environmental and behavioral factors increasing the risk of falls in a senior-living community. His talk is part of the Friday Research Seminar Series sponsored by the Institute for Design Research and Outreach.
Workshop: Effectively managing disruptive classroom behavior
When disruptive behavior takes place, a number of Iowa State University faculty members recommend addressing it immediately. Their advice: remain calm, assess the situation, listen to student concerns. Especially recommended: provide a clear, firm response that is consistent with responses you've given other students. The strategies and resources in this workshop will help you prepare for these moments before they occur.

From three-inch inch minis to a foot-tall "Ginormagnome," we've got a cast of characters that are fun to decorate and add to your indoor or outdoor space.
Stephens Auditorium 50th Anniversary Kick-off
This free event, to launch Stephens Auditorium's 50th anniversary year, will feature building tours that include an up-close look at "Silver Code", the fiber art piece that is the stage curtain. A program on the stage will begin at 7 p.m. RSVPs are requested.

Vinyl Theater w/Royal Teeth & The Catching
For fans of: COIN, Bad Suns, Smallpools, Misterwives, Flor, Hippo Campus Since releasing their debut album Electrogram, in 2014, indie rock/electropop trio Vinyl Theatre has toured with Twenty One Pilots, Smallpools, The Mowgli's, and Dashboard Confessional among others, and headlined Summerfest in their hometown of Milwaukee. Cyclone Central Tailgate
Cyclones everywhere are invited to celebrate at the ISU Alumni Center before every home football game. Enjoy giveaways, shopping, refreshments, marching band performances, Cy and spirit squad appearances, and entertainment for all ages. Doors open 3 hours prior to kick-off and end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Catered meal available for an additional charge.
Open house: Ag450 Farm 75th Anniversary
Celebrate the 75th anniversary of the student-run, self-sustaining Ag450 farm. Students, faculty and staff will lead tours of the facilities and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Longtime comedians, Steve Martin and Martin Short will kick off the new Series with "An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life." The show includes stand-up, film clips, musical numbers and conversations about their lives in show business. Martin and Short will be joined by the Grammy-winning bluegrass band, Steep Canyon Rangers, which features Martin on banjo.
