Make quality, handmade soap from scratch using the cold process. Learn the step by-by-step process - from the selection of oils and fragrances and calculating lye amounts to picking out equipment. Lye safety will be emphasized (there are no pre-made synthetic bases in this class!) A messy but fun process so wear old clothing with a long-sleeved shirt. Leave class with about 1.5 pounds of soap.

The singer was first introduced to country music at age 16, when he spent a summer on the road with his stepfather, who played lead guitar for country icon George Jones. Farr grew to love country music, and he decided to make the move to Nashville to pursue a career as an artist.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting

Join us for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. This one involves blowing bubbles like when you were a kid, but we do it with a straw and paint. The popped bubbles show up and make interesting patterns on the finished pieces. We will have samples for inspiration but your own ideas are always welcome too. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.
