Iowa State Center, specifically the Scheman building, has been a hub of events and entertainment for over 50 years. This tour highlights the history of the Scheman building and the art within.
Argentine Tango Lessons
Valerie Williams This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with different partners for practice. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Class Climate 7.1 Workshop: Grouping Tool/Survey Creation
Open to Class Climate sub-unit administrators only. During this session we will discuss the grouping tool and survey creation for the Fall 2021 semester. Participation is optional. Pre-recorded video tutorials will be shared ahead of time.
Gold Star Hall Ceremony
Three veterans, all former students, who died in military combat and whose names are engraved on the walls of Gold Star Hall will be memorialized during the ceremony. Photos, memorabilia and the personal stories of these Iowa Staters will be shared.

CELT Teaching Talks: Advanced Tips for Teaching Online II - WebEx, Perusall, and more (April Eisman)
In this virtual brown-bag lunch session, April Eisman (Associate Professor, Art & Visual Culture) will talk about her experiences teaching online. In particular, she will share some of the tricks and tips she has learned along the way for synchronous courses, including WebEx polls, whiteboards, and break-out rooms; Google docs; and Miro. She will also show how she uses Perusall in her classes.
Professional and Scientific Council seminar series
"Moving on From Pronouns," Andra Castle, assistant director of the Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity. Castle will talk about gender in the workplace and how to develop understanding of gender to create and sustain gender inclusivity, including third person pronouns, how to navigate pronoun changes, and what pronouns teach us about gender. They will provide action steps and reflection questions to help guide understanding.

A product of his environment, he was named one of Entertainment Weekly's '5 Artists Breaking Now' and Rolling Stone Country's 'One to Watch.' He's toured with acts including Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Lady Antebellum, and had recent features in both Billboard and Forbes.
