Build Your Own Mental Health Kit
Join us for the bi-annual Mental Health Kits sponsored by the Student Union Board! We will have boxes where you can fill it with all kinds of goodies and treasures to support you and your mental health during the upcoming finals all for FREE! Mental Health Kits will run from 10 am to 2 pm in the Maintenance Shop on Wednesday November 29th or until supplies run out!
Art Mart Holiday Sale
The annual holiday art sale will be held November 28 through December 1 in the MU Art Gallery located on the 1st floor. Hours are Tuesday 4-7pm, Wednesday 11am-4pm, Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday 11am-7pm Featuring artists, makers, and crafters, our fall sale has something for everyone on your list! From budding creatives on campus to professional artists you will find pottery, blown glass, jewelry, decor, accessories, and prints.
Workshop: Introduction to Citation Management Tools
In this introductory session, learn why citation management tools are so useful. You'll be introduced to several citation management tools: EndNote Web, Mendeley, Overleaf, and Zotero, all widely used at ISU. Then in a breakout session, you'll focus on one of these tools, start your own free account, get useful tips, and have questions answered by a library specialist.
Drop-In Craft: Wood Slice Ornaments
Use acrylics to paint a winter ornament. We will have some design ideas, or let your imagination run wild. Great gift for the holidays!
ISU Theatre: The Velveteen Rabbit
The Velveteen Rabbit is a delightful, all-ages retelling of the classic story by Margery Williams, adapted by ISU faculty member, Amanda Petefish-Schrag and Ben Schrag with original music by Ben Schrag. A five-member cast of actors/puppeteers bring the narration to life through the art of shadow puppetry. Children (and the young at heart) will be transported to a magical world where we explore what it means to be "real."
Jazz Night: Classical Crossover
Jazz 2.0 and the ISU Jazz Combos present new treatments of old tunes, using stylistic twists & different instrumentation. The concert will be livestreamed.
Grandma Mojo's Improv Comedy
Iowa State's premier student improv comedy troupe! They perform in the M-Shop on select Wednesday nights during the semester.
