Paint Your Own Pottery: Give Back Week for SHOP
Bring in a non-perishable food in exchange for $5 off pottery painting. Donations will be delivered to the SHOP (Students Helping Our Peers), a student-run, on-campus food pantry. Their mission is to engage with anti-hunger advocates and serve student population by increasing hunger awareness and food security. Information about SHOP and how to get involved will be available.
Workshop: Intro to Text Analysis
This workshop will introduce participants to the basic concepts of text analysis for working with datasets from novels to transcripts as well as some examples of compelling text analysis projects. Participants will also get hands-on experience exploring and visualizing datasets with tools such as Google Books NGram Viewer and Voyant Tools.
