Registration begins for sophomores: Summer 2015, Fall 2015
First day of assigned Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 registration dates for students projected as sophomores. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday--Saturday, and most Sundays.
Roundtable: Blended Learning Brown-Bag: Camtasia, Echo 360, Panopto Showcase
This session will feature a brief overview of the tools available Iowa State University faculty and staff are using to create video lectures for blended course delivery. Join Steve Freeman, Professor, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering; Deb Hoyt, Instructional Support, Department of Veterinary Medicine; and Michael Wilson, Academic Information Technology Services, as they highlight their experience using these tools for their courses.

Everywhere educators from K-12 to university professors are attempting to negotiate the widening gap between decades-old teaching methods and the parallel-processing and social-networking students of today. They recognize that students seem more focused on video game challenges than their classes, but literal efforts to use video games to teach have met with uncertain success.
