Lunch and learn: Bridging the Divide
Learn about a new interdisciplinary research grant program. The sessions are for bringing together interested faculty from across campus, providing some examples of such collaborative activities through lightning talks, and to answer any questions about the new program. Lightning talks by Annette O'Connor, veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, and Clark Wolf, philosophy and religious studies.
Research Workshop: Sponsored Funding Budgets
"Sponsored Funding Budget Basics." In this session you will learn about practical tools and strategies for developing your proposal budget according to agency requirements. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop if one is available, though it is not required to attend.

Collegiately Creative Personal Branding Seminar
This conference is planned by college students for college students (faculty and staff also may attend). The conference will be a day full of inspiration, encouragement and motivation, featuring a variety of guest speakers and hands-on breakout sessions. This year's theme is personal branding and making your mark on the professional world.
Performance: Meet George Washington Carver
Celebrate Black History Month with a presentation by George Washington Carver, portrayed by ISU alumnus Paxton Williams. The performance will be repeated at 7:30 p.m. today.
Cyclone Honor Band Concert
The Cardinal and Gold honor bands feature more than 200 Iowa high school students.
Arabic Night
A celebration of Arabic culture with art, food and interactive cultural booths. Also enjoy live music and dance, including a performance by the Layaali Arabic Music Ensemble.

Assignments are a backbone of the course's Gradebook in Canvas. Participants will learn to create and manage Assignments and Assignment Groups as well as explore how the Gradebook is connected to the organization of Assignments. Participants will experience the power of SpeedGrader for efficient and effective grading.

Dan Grooms, professor and chair of the large animal clinical sciences department at Michigan State's College of Veterinary Medicine, is the second of three finalists in the search for the next dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Whether your goal is to make beautiful recipe books, eye-catching food blogs, or expand your photographic skill-set, Mark Stoltenberg will help you learn food styling techniques, proper lighting, prop selection and post-production processes to make your food photos mouth-watering.

NOMAS Flowergram Fundraiser
The Iowa State chapter of NOMAS (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students) will sell flowergrams to raise funds for students to attend the 2018 NOMA Conference in Chicago in October. Flowergrams include a red or white carnation, chocolate and a personally-chosen poem. Cost is $3 for one flowergram or $5 for two. Flowergrams will be available Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair
The career fair enables students to explore career opportunities, obtain employer information, and locate internships, co-ops and full-time positions. Employers have the opportunity to connect with promising candidates for job and internship openings as well as network with university personnel and other employers.
