Bring in some fun fabric, and learn how to form medallion quilt blocks from mirror images. The fusible applique technique will be used to create an 18" square medallion quilt block that can then be used to make a pillow, wall hanging, or included in a larger quilt.

Peter Hamann is an American ceramicist who studied in Iowa as a young artist and has lived in Japan for over 30 years where he has perfected his exquisitely beautiful ceramic forms. Through his time in Japan he has become exceptionally knowledgeable in the art of the tea ceremony, a highly important and respected event in Japanese culture. Peter will share his artwork and knowledge in this lecture.

From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
