"The Abundant Earth" If you like Kids Story Time, youââ'¬â"¢ll flip for Caterpillar Club! Please join us for winter storytelling twice per month, from October to March. Each gathering features a theme as we read aloud two or three books, and wrap up with related cooperative activities and crafts great for groups and individuals alike.

An open house and reception to acknowledge the gift from former Congressman Edward Mezvinsky of his papers to the Iowa State University Library. The collection contains his Congressional and public service papers.
Feeding the World: Nutrition and Food Security
Ruth Oniang'o, a Kenyan with a Ph.D. in food science and nutrition, taught at the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She also is an adjunct professor at Tufts University. She is founder and leader of the Rural Outreach Programme, a Kenya-based non-governmental organization that supports resource-poor farmer groups.

Watergate Forty Years Later: What Lessons Have We Learned?
Former Iowa Congressman Edward Mezvinsky and New York Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman served on the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate hearings. They will participate in a discussion with Jonathan Yarowsky, who was General Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee. James McCormick, professor and chair of the Iowa State Political Science Department, will moderate.
