Sun prints are made on special paper that is light sensitive. Place objects on the paper, expose the materials to the sun and the area exposed to the sun will fade from blue to white. We will have some items from nature (leaves, flowers, etc.) but feel free to bring in your own objects to try.

The process consists of opening ceremony with chants, music and mantra recitation and ends with the dismantling of the mandala and dispersal of the sand. But, what are some of the major American moments of the 20th and 21st centuries? This talk will be led by Amy Bix, Associate Professor of History, who will discuss the key faces and moments of the women's suffrage movement.
