Workshop: Preparing Successfully for Promotion and Tenure
Designed for new tenure-eligible faculty, this is an introduction to ISU's expectations and guidelines for promotion and tenure, as well as what makes a strong promotion and tenure case. There will be time for Q&A and discussion.
ISU Blood Drive
Students, faculty and staff and encouraged to donate blood during the ISU Blood Drive.
Meeting: Top Hat question and answer session
Zhi Hui Tai, a Top Hat representative will be on campus to answer questions about Top Hat, an interactive teaching platform standardized at ISU. Zhi welcomes questions about the new Top Hat functionalities, such as tournaments (course gamification), teams, secure attendance and content pages.

Workshop: Groups and Collaborative Work in Canvas
Instructors can create groups for students to collaborate on group Assignments and Discussions, use Web-conferencing, and Collaborations for online projects. Participants will reflect on demonstrations exemplifying how active learning, collaboration and cooperation can be supported through Canvas' integrated tools.

"Stats, Machine Learning and the Data Science Career," Gabriela de Queiroz, data scientist and founder of R-Ladies Global. She'll talk about her journey from majoring in statistics to a career in data science.

Alan Amling, vice president at UPS Corporate Strategy, leads UPS's Global On-Demand Manufacturing initiative, helping global companies leverage 3D printing to take time, cost and carbon out of their supply chain.
Artful Yoga
The practice will begin at 5:30 with a brief talk connecting the current exhibition to the yoga practice. No yoga experience is necessary, but please bring your own mat. Free, but online registration required at www.museums.iastate.edu.
