Students in Charissa Menefee's playwriting class participated in a workshop conducted by Protest Plays Project founder Tiffany Antone and created their own Heal the Divide on Campus plays. Sketching is a form of design notation and communication, a way in which ideas from the mental camera roll develop into forms and spaces and eventually built space. Richard Alomar, Rutgers University associate professor of landscape architecture, will talk about sketchbooks and journals as mediums for data collection, present sketching exercise examples and share ways students can develop a practice of sketching to record their experience.
