Family-friendly Trick or Treat
A fun, safe and family-friendly opportunity for children (grades preK-8) and their families to get in the spirt of Halloween. Sorority and fraternity chapters will have games to play and lots of candy to take home. Tables will be spaced out to provide a fun and safe atmosphere; face coverings are welcome. Children, family members, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
Argentine Tango Lessons
Valerie Williams This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with different partners for practice. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Give Back Week
Bring in a non-perishable food in exchange for $5 off pottery painting. Donations will be delivered to The SHOP (Students Helping our Peers), a student-run, on-campus food pantry. Their mission is to engage with anti-hunger, advocate, and serve the student population by increasing hunger awareness and food security. Information about SHOP and how to get involved will be available. Drop in anytime Monday-Friday 2-9pm or Saturday 10am-4pm.

Escape from Spreadsheet Hell
This workshop introduces ways to structure data that is computer and human friendly, practices for documenting your work, and functions for simple data processing and quality control. This is a beginner level workshop that covers how to format data and simple data processing in a spreadsheet program such as Excel. No prior experience is needed.

Minorities Report: Indigenous Peoples in Socialist and Post-Socialist China
What are "indigenous peoples" in China, and what are their worlds like? How did the Ming and Qing states manage non-Han indigenous peoples through the native hereditary chieftain system (known as the tusi system)? How did the socialist state create a nation of 56 nationalities, and what were its policies towards so-called "minority nationalities?" Erik Mueggler, University of Michigan, will deliver the Phi Beta Kappa Lecture.
