Research Workshop: Submission software training
The Office for Responsible Research will transition to a new electronic system for submission, review, and maintenance of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications. The a-tune tick@lab system will go live in early 2018, integrating research, teaching and testing protocols, animal procurement and management, as well as veterinary medical records.

ISU Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Symphonic Band is conducted by Steven Smyth, Associate Director of Bands.

Petersen to Neri: The Figurative Tradition at ISU
Representations of the figure in art are tangible, accessible, and relatable. We can see ourselves and our humanity. University Museums Director Lynette Pohlman will discuss the ongoing figurative tradition in the permanent collection beginning with the Regionalist sculptures of Christian Petersen to the abstract works of art included in the current exhibition "Manuel Neri: Ambiguity, Mystery and Allure".

Lecture: Sustainable Neighborhoods for Happiness
Scott Cloutier, assistant professor and senior sustainability scientist at Arizona State University, and PhD student Beth Ann Morrison, who works with Cloutier to establish the Happiness and Sustainability Research Lab at ASU, will introduce the Sustainable Neighborhoods for Happiness Index and a process to assess and enhance a neighborhood's opportunities for happiness through sustainable design.
