Graduation applications: Spring 2013
Seniors graduating Spring 2013 should submit a Graduation Application to the Registrar's Graduation Office, 210 Enrollment Services Center, after registering for final course work. Applications are available from advisers or the Registrar's Graduation Office, 210 Enrollment Services Center.
Registration begins: Spring 2013
First day of assigned Spring 2013 registration dates for students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and students in the Graduate College. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
Iowa Latina/o Education Initiative Conference
Iowa State's Community College Leadership Program (CCLP), School of Education (SOE) and College of Human Sciences are working with the Iowa Community College Presidents and Excelencia in Education to highlight the needs of Iowa Latino students. Babu Ram is the chief power engineer at the African Development Bank in Tunisia. He currently is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis in finance at Drake University. Finalists will describe their vision for the Iowa Energy Center and respond to questions.

Edible Landscaping: Rosalind Creasy
Gardening can be easy, healthy, inexpensive, and best of all, it can be done just about anywhere. As far back as 1970, Rosalind Creasy was a pioneer in the field of edible landscaping. Her work has since revolutionized the way that many of us think about gardening and eating fresh, organic and heirloom foods. Her award-winning 2010 book, Edible Landscaping, is now in its third printing.

Lecture: The Human Fingerprint on the Water Landscape of the 21st Century
Jay Familgietti is the 2012 Birdsall Dreiss Distinguished Lecturer with the Geological Society of America's Hydrogeology Division. He uses satellite remote sensing to track water availability and groundwater depletion on land. His work is aimed at improving hydrological prediction in weather and climate models.
