"Landscape Chronicles," William E. Roberts and Laura Santin, principals and directors of Nomad Studio, a landscape planning and design firm presently in Brooklyn, N.Y. A reception will follow.

An international "network" practice with a focus on frugality, Nomad Studio sets up an office where a project requires and tailors its design team specifically for that project. This approach allows the firm to reduce its overhead and footprint.

Using examples from Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and the United States, Roberts and Santin will discuss how to decipher and capture the multidimensional aspect of landscapes in landscape architecture projects.

The P.H. Elwood Lecture in Landscape Architecture series brings renowned practitioners to the Iowa State campus as guest lecturers each year.
