Pottery, jewelry and other hand-made items created by Workspace students and instructors will be for sale. Sale continues daily through Feb. 14.
Random Acts of Kindness
Members of the campus community are invited to brighten someone's day with a random act of kindness. Write a letter to anyone, anywhere in the world. The Library will pay the postage and provide paper, pens and envelopes; participants bring the well-wishes and their loved ones' addresses.
Award-Winning Faculty Series: Keeping Students Engaged
"Building Connections: Keeping Students Engaged in Large (or Small) Courses," Anne Clem, accounting. Clem shares how she keeps 300 students engaged and excited to learn in her accounting courses. She will share relationship-building methods to connect with learners to create what she defines as a CCC (casual controlled classroom).

Graduate and undergraduate students will highlight their research during this annual event presented by the computer science department and Graduate Student Organization. Visitors are invited to vote for the top posters. This year's event is sponsored by Kingland and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate.

Lecture: The Art of Language Invention
A linguist by training, David J. Peterson offers an overview of language creation, covering its history from Tolkien's creations and Klingon to today's global community of conlangers. He will share stories of how he built Dothraki and Valyrian (Game of Thrones) and discuss the essential tools necessary for inventing and evolving new languages.
