Workshop: The Pedagogy of Canvas Quizzes
Participants will learn how to use Quizzes in Canvas. The workshop will focus on practical ways to customize Quiz Settings as well as create and administer Quizzes with a variety of question types to accommodate specific learning situations. Quiz Moderation and Analytics will be also explored.
Research Workshop: Communicating Your Research and Scholarship
"The Story Collider: Communicating Your Research and Scholarship Using Narrative." This presentation will develop participants' ability to tell personal stories and apply storytelling craft and theory to communication challenges facing their team. Participants will learn about narrative structure, identifying and developing story leads, improving performance, and connecting to audiences.

"Legal Update on Digital Accessibility." An overview of the so-called "508 refresh," pertaining to the federal Communication Act. Presenters will also discuss the most recent trends in digital accessibility law.

Participants will learn to create and manage Assignments and Assignment Groups as well as explore how the Gradebook is connected to the organization of Assignments. Participants will experience the power of SpeedGrader for efficient and effective grading.

Participants will learn about best practices for creating, organizing and structuring content in Canvas courses.

"Sponsored Funding Budget Basics." In this session you will learn about practical tools and strategies for developing your proposal budget according to agency requirements. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop if one is available, though it is not required to attend.
