"Who's Afraid of International Trade?" Pietra Rivoli is the author of The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy, which takes readers from cotton farms in Texas to factories in China to labor unions in the American South to used-clothing vendors in Tanzania. Part of the Technology, Globalization and Culture Series.

The book explores not only the market forces but also the social dimensions of a global economy. Rivoli is a professor at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and has special interests in social justice issues in international business and in China. She has a PhD in finance and international economics from the University of Florida.
